OUR MISSION

To enhance the lives of the young people in Southeast San Diego through music and academic education as a deterrent to drugs and violence that are prevalent in our communities.

 OUR VISION

Provide a cross-cultural, interdisciplinary project with emphasis on music, math, science, and creativity as alternatives to alcohol, tobacco, drugs and gangs which infest the Southeast San Diego community.

Provide a choral music curriculum and other resource services for children and youth, including those disadvantaged and physically challenged.

Provide a choral music program as a means of enhancing the self-esteem of local children and youth.

Provide encouragement and development for young musicians and vocal artists, and involve more youth in positive activities.

Provide math and science skills needed to help students succeed in school and life.

Provide wider access to a quality creative experience, which might otherwise not be available, by providing music instruction (vocal and instrumental) to all participants.

Cooperate with other community organizations and local artists to provide a musical performance which showcases the talents of all program participants.

Make participants aware of their own potential for creative self-expression, and foster a continuing interest in music and arts.

Develop culturally relevant and artistic activities for youth and their families that promote positive self and family esteem; expose youth to positive images; and encourage communication and understanding between different cultures and ethnic groups.
